Acupuncture is the art of inserting fine needles into the body at specific points. Stimulating these points regulates the flow of Qi (energy) throughout distinct pathways in the body. By restoring balance, acupuncture has been shown to dramatically improve countless health problems, such as pain, degenerative diseases, women’s health, and emotional stress.
Erin B. Kaminker, LAc, MSOM, uses Traditional Chinese Medicine to assess each client’s unique constitution. She develops a diagnosis and treatment plan based on five-element theory, traditional tongue and pulse diagnosis, symptomology, and Japanese abdominal palpation. Erin then uses thin sterile needles to gently activate the body’s Qi, restoring balance to the muscles, nerves, meridians, and organ systems.
Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM)
Traditional Chinese Medicine is a complete system of natural medicine that has been used for over 2,000 years to balance all aspects of health and well-being. Chinese medicine includes:
• Herbal Medicine
• Tui Na / Bodywork
• Qi Gong
At Sage Medicine, we draw upon each of these practices depending upon the needs of each individual. Chinese medicine is holistic by nature, addressing all aspects of a person's physical, mental, and emotional health, rather than just the symptoms of disease.
